Canterbury 3 Seater Sofa
This sofa is very well designed to offer excellent support for the user looking for high neck and head support as well as a comfortable seat, without taking up too much room in the home. Made by Celebrity furniture this is the Canterbury 3 seater sofa and as with all products made by Celebrity there is a wealth of fabric and leather coverings to choose from which make it easy to find something to suit almost any home decor.
The front of the seat cushions gently roll from horizontal to vertical and this helps to prevent any pressure on the underside of the knees. There are three wood shade options for the wooden knuckles on the arm fronts, or if prefered the sofa can be made with no knuckes at all.
The seat areas are filled with a highly resilient foam interior that comes back to shape well but is not too hard nor soft. Infact when this sofa is made in fabric that interior is a medical grade foam that is far better for a prolonged sit.
A qualifying person is one that is ‘chronically sick or disabled’ which means :
- a physical or mental impairment which has a long-term and substantial adverse effect on their ability to carry out everyday activities.
- a condition which the medical profession treats as a chronic sickness, such as diabetes, parkinsons, dementia, or a chronic illness which necessitates a complicated medication regime.
- who is terminally ill.
It does not include an elderly person who is not disabled or chronically sick or any person who’s only temporarily disabled or incapacitated, such as with a broken limb.
