Designer for a taller or large frame person this is the Ashfield Grande recliner chair from Celebrity furniture. It has a higher & deeper seat to accommodate a bigger body person as well as a higher back for improved support for the back of the head & shoulders.
It can be upholstered in a wide choice of both leathers & fabrics. It features a generous high head cushion with lateral cushions below these on the left & right sides. These cushions help to keep the user in a central position when sitting. The back of the chair has neat wings which cleverly frame it and there are neat scroll arm with upholstered facings.
The manual action is operated by either a handle or a latch that is positioned on the outside of the arm. Once the action is released the footplate comes up behind the legs to lift and support them, and then the back can be reclined further by pushing backwards. The position the recliner holds is then controlled by the users position and centre of weight. To close the recliner up the user can sit forward and the sweep the footplate closed with the back of their legs.
When upholstered in fabric the chair seat has Mammoth foam interiors which can aid with poor circulation, pressure relief, general ease of movement as well as some pain relief. When upholstered in leather the interiors are a resilient foam which comes back to shape well after being sat in.
This chair can be made with either castors or glide feet on the base depending on the kind of floor it will be sat upon.
